You’ve Already Won Me Over In Spite Of Me

A few weeks back I sang Alanis Morissette’s “Head Over Feet” in BQP (the night I downloaded the track to my console), and flailed HORRIBLY on the non-verbal phrases that make up the latter third of the song. I knew that FCing this one for the blog would take a bit of effort, but hey, at least the path wasn’t complicated!

Since I was pretty beat after a long day at work, I only worked on the song for about 20 minutes, completing my one and only FC halfway through the session. Sure, I could have kept at it, trying to close the 300 point gap between my 2nd place showing and the top score entered on SH, but I knew that would probably take waaaay more time and energy than I had at my disposal. I mean, I’m not sure if you noticed from my screenshot, but “Head Over Feet” has 87 freaking phrases! And you can only squeeze extra points out of the 3rd activation in the optimal path, so I wouldn’t know if I had a shot at improving my score until almost 4 minutes into the dang thing! AND I’d still have to get through all the non-verbal junk at the end, which I only managed to do through sheer luck on my single 100% run. All things considered, walking away with 2nd place & my sanity intact was definitely the way to go on this one!

Squeezing info:
2/ (+0), 2/ (+0), 3/ (+244), 3/ (+0)
86000 / 186000 / 310244 / 446204 => 446,204 (-300)*

*points below/above 1st place on SH for 360
